What’s Up with These Weather Disasters Lately? - Sign of the End Times? – Let’s Talk About it!

As storms rage and floodwaters rise, many are asking: “Are these disasters just coincidence, or are they signs from God?” The Bible has already given us the answer.

Las Vegas: Winds That Tore the Power from the Earth

On July 1, 2025, a violent windstorm hit Las Vegas like a freight train. Nearly 90,000 people lost power. Over 60 poles were knocked over by 70 mph winds. This wasn’t just weather—it was whirlwind judgment in real-time.

“The LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.”

Texas: Torrents of Death and Destruction

Only days later, Texas was underwater. Central parts of the state were devastated by flash floods. At least 27 people lost their lives. Raging rivers burst their banks. Families were caught unprepared.

“And there shall be… famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.”

Floods, famines, fires, and storms are not isolated tragedies—they are birth pains, laboring toward the coming of the Lord.

2025: Weather Gone Mad Across the World

Here are just a few more major weather events in 2025 that have stunned scientists and crushed communities:

Southern Europe baked under record-breaking temperatures: over 46°C (115°F) scorched Spain and Portugal. Wildfires exploded across Turkey and Greece.

Australia’s East Coast was hit by a “bomb cyclone”—200+ mm of rain, 125 km/h winds, and mass evacuations in July.

Canada’s May Snowstorm brought over 15 inches of snow to Labrador—its worst May snowfall in 83 years.

Argentina’s Bahía Blanca: In March, flash floods dumped 290 mm of rain in hours, killing 17 and displacing hundreds.

Nigeria’s Mokwa Flood (May 28–29): A collapsed dam, heavy rains, and deforestation left over 200 dead and 1,000 missing.

U.S. Tornado Outbreak (March 13–17): Over 100 tornadoes ripped across the nation—including two deadly EF-4 tornadoes in Mississippi.

Jakarta, Indonesia (March 2025): Floods displaced 90,000 people, overwhelmed rivers, and left parts of the capital paralyzed.

What Does the Bible Say About All This?

Jesus warned that before His return, there would be:

• “The sea and the waves roaring” (Luke 21:25)
• “Distress of nations, with perplexity”
• “Earthquakes in divers places”
• “Signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars”

These are not just natural disasters. They are prophetic signals—warning us that time is short.

“For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.”
— Romans 8:22, KJV

The planet itself is groaning under the weight of sin and anticipation of Christ’s return. God is not silent—He is sounding the trumpet through storms, floods, and fire.

As I look at the “Power of Nature,” it gives me profound respect of the forces that God has. They are beyond human strength…They are greater than we are, despite our very strongest efforts to prevent or push back against them.

A message to those who are constantly stating that “You have a mean God! Why would a loving God send storms that result in people being killed…even children.” I would have to loving say, it’s because He is trying to save your soul. He is trying to get your attention to repent and follow Him. That is the purpose of these extreme weather events.

Looking at things in the big picture answers that question entirely…and in a way to help us understand God and His actions.

Stop looking at “Life” with the perspective of just this earth, for the timing of this earth is coming to a quick end.

Those children who just died in Texas from the flood waters have just entered into the presence of God. They have successfully completed their mortal journey, and are now in the loving arms of Jesus Christ. No more pain, no more suffering. They have fulfilled their mission here on earth, and have crossed the finish line into the most glorious place imaginable… “Paradise”.

You, on the other hand, are the one that should be fearful if you are not listening to the “Warning Shots” that God is sending to the earth through these intense weather events. For they are intended for YOU!

He has also told us in the New Testament about the 7 bowls of wrath that He plans on pouring out directly upon you if you don’t stop dissing God, and head His warnings. This should be your focus, not the children who God has called home to be with Him in Paradise.

What Should We Do?

These weather disasters are not random. They are divine messages calling the world to:

• Repentance
• Holiness
• Faith in Jesus Christ

If we keep pretending this is just “climate change,” we will miss what God is trying to say. These disasters are a last call to wake up.

“So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.”
— Matthew 24:33, KJV

It is time for YOU to get right with God. It is time that you realize that we are in the final years, and that the “End Times” are upon us right now. You earth life, possessions, power, all that you have will soon be gone, and your Heavenly Reward will determine by what you do right now, before Christ comes.

Jesus said in John 3:3,

“Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

To be born again is not a physical rebirth, but a spiritual transformation that takes place when a person believes in Jesus Christ as the Son of God, repents of their sins, and receives the Holy Spirit.

As John 3:5 declares,

“Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”

This new birth brings about a cleansing from sin and a new life in Christ. It is by faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus that we are made new creatures, as 2 Corinthians 5:17 states:

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

Being born again marks the beginning of a personal relationship with God and the assurance of eternal life.

Perhaps you should start today by thanking God for providing these wake-up calls through the extreme weather. Thank Him, that He cares enough about you in your lost ways, and wants you still to be with Him, regardless of the wicked things that you have done on earth.

Then, it is time for you to act. Through prayer, turn your life over to Him, study His Gospel detailed in the New Testament, repent for the things that you have done wrong, and try to live your best life by striving to be more like Him.

Then you will see that you have “Refuse from the storms.”

Isaiah 25:4 (KJV)

“For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.”

Psalm 91:1-2 (KJV)

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.”

Nahum 1:7 (KJV)

“The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.”

Psalm 46:1 (KJV)

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble

Does this task sound difficult for you to do? Well, that thinking is far from the truth. Look at what He has told us:

Matthew 11:28–30 (KJV):

28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

This is one of the most comforting invitations from Jesus, offering peace and rest to those who are weary and burdened by life’s struggles. Seems to me that your life would be easier by doing this, NOT more difficult.

Jesus is not coming tomorrow—because many things must still happen first: the 7-year tribulation, the rise of the Antichrist, the Mark of the Beast. But the stage is being set before our very eyes.

Creation is in labor. The storm clouds are forming. And God’s Word is unfolding just as He said it would.
