IMPORTANT INFORMATION! Why the 7-Year Tribulation Must Begin in 2025 - The 70 Weeks of Daniel, the 7000 Years of Earth

From the opening words of Genesis to the final prophecies of Revelation, the Bible reveals a divine calendar. Through the prophet Daniel and the pattern of creation itself, God has given us keys to understand the timing of His redemptive plan. When we combine the 70 Weeks of Daniel with the 7000-year prophetic model, a sobering and powerful possibility emerges:

The 7-Year Tribulation Period must begin in 2025 for Jesus Christ to return in 2032.

Let’s walk through this timeline carefully, using only the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible.

The 70 Weeks of Daniel: A Countdown to Redemption

“Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity…”
— Daniel 9:24, KJV

In Daniel 9:24–27, the angel Gabriel reveals that 70 weeks (literally, seventy sevens) are determined for Israel. This is a period of 490 years:

• 69 weeks (483 years): From the command to rebuild Jerusalem (circa 457 BC) to the coming of the Messiah.
• The 69th week ended when Jesus Christ was “cut off” — crucified for our sins.

“And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself…”
— Daniel 9:26, KJV

Most scholars place the crucifixion around 32 AD, marking the pause in God’s prophetic clock. This PAUSE is important to consider, as it stops the prophetic clock. The clock continues at the start of the 7-year tribulation period.

• The final 70th week (7 years) has not yet occurred. It is reserved for the end times, known as the Tribulation Period, a time of judgment, deception, and preparation for Christ’s return.

Understanding Daniels 70-week prophecy is important to explain the 7-year Tribulation period, yet it is not specific in assisting with the time that this will take place in the prophetic timeline of the end times, other than to state that it will be the final 7 years upon earth. 

Something that indeed is VERY telling as to when the 7-year tribulation period will start, as well as the year of the return of Jesus Christ, is contained in the following:

The 7000-Year Plan of God: A Prophetic Week of History

God created the world in six days and rested on the seventh. This pattern is not just historical—it’s prophetic. Take a moment to understand this concept…God worked for 6 days, and rested on the 7^th.

“But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.”
— 2 Peter 3:8, KJV

“For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past…”
— Psalm 90:4, KJV

This leads to a prophetic model. Let’s look at the years that mankind has been upon the earth:

• 4000 years from Adam to Christ
• 2000 years from Christ to His return
• 1000 years for Christ’s Millennial Kingdom (Revelation 20:1–6)

Simple, right? God has appointed 7,000 years—symbolized as seven days—for mankind to dwell upon the earth, culminating in a final “day of rest” during the 7th millennium when Christ will reign. This mirrors the seven days of the creation week, where the seventh day was a day of rest.

But how does this help us understand the timing of Jesus Christ’s return? Wouldn’t this model suggest that Christ should have returned around the year 2000 AD, which has already passed?

There’s one crucial component often overlooked in this timeline: the years when Christ was physically on the earth do not count toward the 7,000-year total. This divine pause in the prophetic clock must be accounted for in order to rightly understand where we are in God’s timeline.

Some propose that the 33½ years Jesus lived on earth—especially His public ministry—was a sacred insertion that temporarily paused the prophetic “work week” timeline. This is not stated explicitly in Scripture, but rather drawn from interpretations of:

• • Daniel’s 70 Weeks prophecy (Daniel 9:24–27): Many dispensationalists believe there is a gap between the 69th and 70th week where the Church Age exists.
  • The feast and sabbath cycles in the Old Testament, which often have “pause” periods built into them (e.g., Jubilee, High Sabbaths).

Typological Argument:

Some point to how God stopped the sun for Joshua (Joshua 10:13) or to the “gap” in Daniel’s prophecy as symbolic precedence for divine pauses in timekeeping. Again, this is interpretive and not clearly stated.

Seeing that Christ did not return in the year 2000 AD lends credibility to this concept being true. With that understanding, let us continue forward.

According to several historical and astronomical indicators, many scholars believe that Jesus Christ was born in the year 2 BC. This date aligns with records of a rare astronomical event—such as the conjunction of Jupiter and Regulus, which some propose was the Star of Bethlehem observed by the wise men.

Additionally, early Christian writers like Irenaeus and Tertullian supported a timeline placing Christ’s birth just a few years before the death of Herod the Great, whose reign is now widely believed to have extended to 1 BC. This 2 BC birth date helps reconcile biblical accounts with known historical events, offering a compelling alternative to the more commonly accepted 4–6 BC range.

2 BC to 32 AD is generally understood to be 33 years, but let’s break it down carefully, since counting years across BC (Before Christ) and AD (Anno Domini) can be confusing:

• There is no year 0 in the historical calendar. The calendar goes directly from 1 BC to 1 AD.
• So, from 2 BC to 1 BC = 1 year
• From 1 BC to 1 AD = 1 year
• From 1 AD to 32 AD = 31 years

Add them up:
1 (2 BC to 1 BC) + 1 (1 BC to 1 AD) + 31 (1 AD to 32 AD) = 33 years

So, if Jesus Christ was born in 2 BC, and lived for 33.5 years and died, this places His death in the year 32 AD. 2,000 years from His death and resurrection places His Second Coming in the year 2032. This means that the 7-year Tribulation Period MUST start in the year 2025 AD.

Why the Tribulation Must Begin in 2025

The final week of Daniel—the 70th week—is a 7-year period of global tribulation (Daniel 9:27). It includes the rise of the Antichrist, the rebuilding of the Jewish temple, and unprecedented worldwide deception and judgment.

If we count backward from 2032, subtracting 7 years, we land on 2025—the start of Daniel’s 70th week.

This aligns perfectly with:

The pause between the 69th and 70th week
The 2000-year age of grace from Christ’s death (32 AD) to His return (2032 AD)
The 7000-year pattern of six “days” of man and one “day” of rest (Millennial reign)

The Final Countdown Has Begun

We are living in a time of escalating global crisis—just as Jesus foretold:

“And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars… For nation shall rise against nation… and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.”
— Matthew 24:6–7, KJV

Every sign points to the soon fulfillment of Daniel’s 70th week. The confirmation of a peace covenant, a rebuilt temple, a global religion, and increasing persecution of true believers—all these are forming rapidly before our eyes.

What Must We Do?

Now is the time to repent, believe the gospel, and draw near to the Lord.

“Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.”
— Matthew 24:42, KJV

“Be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”
— Matthew 24:44, KJV

Let no one deceive you. God has already revealed the timeline—through Daniel, through creation, and through His Son. The Church Age is closing, and the clock is about to start again on Daniel’s 70th week.

The Tribulation must begin in 2025.
Christ will return in glory in 2032.

But what about this scripture that many are quick to note?

“But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.”
— Matthew 24:36, KJV

Look at this with the information that we have just learned. We have been told through scripture that we will not know the date nor the hour, but there is no mention of us not knowing the YEAR, right?

He has also given us this information through scripture:

“But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.”

This passage shows that while no man knows the exact day or hour, believers are given enough signs and light to discern the season and be ready.

Those of us who study the end times do not focus on the exact date of Jesus’ return. Instead, we are motivated to use the scripture-based information He has given us to help others come to Christ and be prepared for His coming.
